Privacy Policy
uBlur keeps editing local to your device. This policy covers both the website and the mobile app, including analytics, ads, sign-in, subscriptions, and image access.
How editing works
On the web version, image editing happens entirely in your browser tab. We don't upload, process, or store your screenshots on our servers just to blur, highlight, crop, or annotate them.
In the mobile app, image editing and export also happen locally on your device. The app may store some temporary local state so your session, premium state, or consent choices can survive between launches, but your screenshots are not uploaded to our server for ordinary editing.
Data we collect and how it is used
If you choose to sign in to the mobile app, uBlur may collect basic account data returned by the sign-in provider, such as your name, email address, and profile image. This is used to recognize your account and connect premium or rewarded entitlements to it.
We use Firebase services for authentication, app infrastructure, and basic product analytics. Firebase Analytics may process technical usage events, device and app information, and diagnostic signals so we can understand reliability and improve the product.
If ads are shown, Google advertising services such as AdSense on the web or AdMob in the mobile app may process IP address, advertising identifiers, device information, app or site interactions, consent signals, and similar technical data to serve, limit, measure, and personalize ads where allowed.
Website cookies and web advertising
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on uBlur. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to uBlur and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
Mobile app permissions, ads, and subscriptions
The mobile app may request access to your photos or media library so you can select, edit, export, and share images from your device. We use that access only to provide those editor features.
The mobile app uses Google AdMob for advertising and rewarded ad flows. Advertising consent and privacy options are handled inside the app through the mobile ads consent flow, not through website cookies.
If you unlock temporary ad-free access from a rewarded ad in the mobile app, standard ad placements may be hidden for that limited period, but a promotional or house card may still be shown. A paid premium subscription is the option that removes both ads and promo placements while it remains active.
uBlur may also offer recurring premium subscriptions through Google Play or the App Store. Unless otherwise stated on the store purchase screen, subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled through the same store account used to subscribe.
Third-party services and sharing
We use Google AdSense and Google Analytics on the website, and Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Play, and Apple App Store billing services in the mobile app. These providers may process data according to their own privacy terms and platform policies.
We share limited data with service providers only to operate key app features such as sign-in, analytics, subscriptions, and advertising. We do not sell your raw screenshots for ordinary editing use.
