Great product photos increase trust and conversion. With a DIY light setup and a few online tools you can create ecommerce-ready images without expensive studio gear.

1. Set Up Lighting

  • Place the product near a window with indirect daylight; use white foam boards to bounce light and remove shadows.
  • For consistent light, invest in two budget softboxes (45° left/right) and shoot on a clean table.

2. Capture Multiple Angles

Shoot straight-on, 45°, overhead, and detail shots. Keep the camera at eye level for lifestyle scenes and use a tripod for consistent framing.

3. Remove Backgrounds

  • Use remove.bg or Clipdrop to isolate the product.
  • Replace with a light gray or on-brand gradient in Canva to keep focus on the product.

4. Retouch & Polish

Adjust white balance and contrast in Photopea or Lightroom Mobile. Use the healing brush to clean dust or scratches. Add soft drop shadows or reflections for a premium look.

5. Export for Every Channel

  • Website hero: 2000 px on the long edge (PNG or WEBP).
  • Marketplace listings: 1600×1600 square JPG (quality 90+).
  • Social teasers: 1080×1350 portrait.

6. Add Callouts in uBlur

For spec sheets or launch decks, import the product photo into uBlur to blur confidential pricing, highlight key features, or drop text labels--all without uploading to third-party servers.
